The Business Management Club of Lahore Garrison University (LGU) organized a case-study competition in the department on February 5th and 6th, 2016. Collectively, twenty three teams from all classes of the department took part to exercise their skills and knowledge on real world cases in an allocated time frame. The competition included cases from the areas of finance, human resource, marketing and supply chain. It was a successful two day event and its spirit was to highlight the potential solutions given by the students. All rounds were judged by area specialist faculty members. The efforts of the Dean of Social Sciences, Mr Tahir and Chairperson of the Business Management Department, Mrs Aiza Rana were highly appreciated in organizing the successful event. The chief guest was the Vice Chancellor of the university, Maj Gen (R) Obaid Bin Zakria who highly motivated students and presented shields to the winning team.


The Business Management Club of Lahore Garrison University (LGU) arranged a spectacular and star-studded Annual dinner-cum-farewell party for the graduating batch of 2016. The Vice Chancellor, Major General (R) Obaid Bin Zakriya was the chief guest for the evening. Akbar Ali, Relationship Manager, Zong Pakistan was also present. The untiring efforts of Mr. Tahir, Dean of Social Sciences and Mrs. Aiza Rana, Chairperson Business Management Department were highly appreciated for making the event such a huge success. An upcoming singer, Imran Ali Tahir also mesmerized the audience with his performance.


The students of the Business Management Club of Lahore Garrison University (LGU) organized a one day training on effective job hunting skills on Wednesday May 18, 2016. Mr. M. Ahmed, a renowned corporate trainer from Global Multiplex company was the chief speaker. He gave the passing out students many helpful guidelines on resume writing, interview and job ethics, networking and work place stress ventilation. He gave personal examples which kept the students highly involved. The event was widely appreciated by the students as it was aimed to help them in their professional lives ahead. There was a question answer session in the end in which students were given the opportunity to interact with the speaker. The efforts of Mr Tahir, Dean of Social Sciences and Mrs. Aiza Hussain Rana, Chairperson, Business and Management Department were instrumental in making the event a success. The guest of honour was the Vice Chancellor, Major General (R) Obaid Bin Zakria who acknowledged the efforts of the students and faculty members for organizing the event.


The final semester students of BBA Session 2012-2016 had their project display on Thursday, 2nd June, 2016 under the supervision of Mrs Aiza Hussain Rana, Chairperson, Business Management Department. She has always believed in delivering practical knowledge to the students as it leads to a deeper understanding of concepts taught in theory. This project display gave the students an opportunity to explore and sharpen their entrepreneurial skills. They thoroughly enjoyed this activity as they put their ideas to good use and were successful in making money off them which of course was the spirit of the event. The students came up with brilliant ideas which included low wattage spot lights, ice cream served in chocolate bowls,, glowing glass balls, handmade newspaper decorative baskets and wall hangings, robotic lamps, two-sided pens, handmade book and file covers, hanging lamps and delicious desserts. Students also came up with innovative products like space saving café chairs, laptop cooling table cum bags and nutritious flavored milk. Service like online booking and delivery of bus tickets and car oil change and wash were also part of the display. They event was immensely appreciated by students, faculty and staff members as they had an opportunity to buy these items and encourage their fellow students for their untiring efforts. The Vice Chancellor, Maj Gen (R) Obaid Bin Zakria highly motivated the students and congratulated them on making the event successful.
